No Name Image Acrylic Print

If memory serves this ballpoint pen and mixed media drawing is free of any digital effects whatsoever. I added some print making ink (applied with a roller) back in 1992 as an experiment. The photo of the drawing was taken in 2001. In college I started cropping my full size bed sheet drawings into smaller works that were completed as independent compositions. framing 7 by 9 foot drawings was just too problematic—the ballpoint needs protection from sun light. As usual I leave interpretation up to the viewer.

I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin which I still call home. In 1994 I graduated with an art degree--among other things--from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. For many years I was known mostly for my ballpoint on bedsheet drawings one of which made it into a major show at Ameircan Visionery in Baltimore. In recent years I have done many ballpoint digital images and have done some distorted selfie’s which I intend to have printed on canvas and then proceed to add a ballpoint graphic thereby creating some mixed medium drawings. I intend to do more of these photos that sport a ballpoint graphic in the future.
