Artist's Description

Juxtaposition One, was fashioned by cropping and and then juxtaposing a single detail from two unrelated ballpoint on bed sheet drawings. These totally abstract non-symmetrical image bits were made symmetrical before the merger by using simple mirror flips. The process will continue just as soon as my 36 by 24 inch canvas print of the image gets here and HOPEFULLY the 2nd image in the series will be completed without any major problems. The second image already has a name: Synthesized Juxtaposition. The plan is to repeat the process as far as it wants to go with cropped bit from another image added to the mix. This should be lots of fun. I'll keep you posted. Jack Dillhunt, Peace, 1/23/15

About Jack Dillhunt

Jack Dillhunt

I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin which I still call home. In 1994 I graduated with an art degree--among other things--from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. For many years I was known mostly for my ballpoint on bedsheet drawings one of which made it into a major show at Ameircan Visionery in Baltimore. In recent years I have done many ballpoint digital images and have done some distorted selfieā€™s which I intend to have printed on canvas and then proceed to add a ballpoint graphic thereby creating some mixed medium drawings. I intend to do more of these photos that sport a ballpoint graphic in the future.
